Removals in Kenton

HA3 — Kenton's interwar semis, the Kenton Road parades, and the run down towards Northwick Park.

Kenton is Metroland at its most typical — long roads of interwar semis, driveways on most of them, and space to turn a vehicle. Easy days, with one recurring surprise.

The recurring surprise

Volume. These houses have been held a long time, and the loft, the garage and the shed between them frequently hold as much as a room does. They are all coming, and none of them appear on a floor plan or over the phone. We count all three at survey, which is why the number holds.

The parades

Along Kenton Road and around the stations, parking tightens and flats sit above the shops behind a shared street door. Not difficult — an early start and an agreed loading point, and they run as smoothly as anything else on the patch.

Towards Northwick Park

The stock stays similar and the access stays good. Our patch runs to the Preston Road edge; past that we will say so rather than quote for roads we would only occasionally drive.

Nearby

Harrow Weald is north-west and Headstone west.

Local detail

Kenton questions

01What is the housing?

Interwar semis and terraces almost throughout, on wide roads with driveways. Straightforward, and fuller than they look.

02Is parking an issue?

On the residential roads, rarely. Around the stations and the Kenton Road parades it tightens, and there we check whether a permit is needed.

03Do the parades complicate things?

Only the flats above them — a shared street door, a stair fitted around the business below, and restrictions outside. Early starts solve it.

04How far towards Wembley do you go?

To the Preston Road edge. Beyond that is another patch and we will say so rather than quoting blind.
